Meet Ariel our Chef de Partie who has been a member of the culinary team since the opening of the hotel. Many of our guests haven’t met Ariel, but we are certain many have tasted his perfectly prepared meals. He works hard to not only prepare food for events on our banquet floor but also feeds our internal associates daily.

When Ariel isn’t working he enjoys food trips with his family and relaxing on any beach. A unique fact most people don’t know about Ariel is that he has an identical twin brother in Singapore who is an architect, a bit different than his culinary career!
Ariel hopes to one day be a Sous Chef or open his own restaurant or food truck. Keep your eyes on the streets of Vancouver for his truck one day, we’re certain you won’t be disappointed!

Lechon sa Hurno (Oven Roasted Pork Belly)

i've been requesting my wife for quite some time about us having a lechon kawali for dinner and so i bought a slab of pork liempo (pork belly) at chinatown and she came up with this oven roasted recipe instead of the traditional deep-frying it in a kawali.

I'm very impressed with the outcome of her efforts, it has a very crispy skin , crunchy outside and still juicy meat on the inside. It was very yummy!!! ;-)

My son Ardie, he loves the crispy skin :-)

We paired it with the Pinakbet (Tagalog version) it's delicious

Let's eat !!!! ;-)

father's day

My wife and son treat me to a nice family dinner this father's day. We went to " Pin-Pin"our favorite filipino restaurant. Of course ,i ordered our all time favorite, crispy pata it's always fresh and very crunchy. It's also Ardie's favorite, he likes the crunchy and crispy skin.

We also had, the pork binagoongan, a dish cooled with fermented shrimp paste, it's also one of my favorite pork dishes, very tasty ;-)

La Paz Batchoy, my wife Andie, ordered this for Ardie, a noodle soup made with pork organs, crushed chicharon (pork cracklings),shrimp, vegetables, chicken breast, chicken stock , beef loin and miki noodles.

it's very yummy!!!!!................hmmmmmmm........ ;-)

We also ordered chicken and pork barbeque, everything is delicious!!!!! ;-)
Thank you Mommy & Ardie!!!! :-) I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
